Chris Bean
Head Varsity Coach

Coach Chris Bean has been the head varsity football coach at Twelve Bridges High School since the school's inception in 2021. Under his leadership and a talented coaching staff, the Raging Rhinos have achieved remarkable success, including back-to-back league championships, a CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division IV title, a CIF NorCal championship, and a runner-up finish in the CIF Division 2-A state championship game.

His coaching philosophy centers around the acronym SOUL: Selflessness, Ownership, Unity, and Larger Purpose. This ethos has fostered a strong team culture and community engagement, contributing to the rapid ascent of the Twelve Bridges football program.

In addition to his coaching duties, Bean is a history teacher at Twelve Bridges High School, where he maintains an open-door policy for students, further exemplifying his commitment to mentorship and education.

Grant Fowler
Defensive Coordinator
Coach Fowler enters his 18th year at the high school level, coaching varsity for the last 16 years. He served as the Varsity Defensive Coordinator the past 6 year. As a player he had the opportunity to win a CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Championship (2004) with Colfax High School. He’s an intense competitor, no nonsense coach, who keeps his players focused and working hard to improve, but most importantly loves his players! Coach Fowler believes that football is the greatest team sport that fosters character, integrity, and accountability among those he mentors and coaches. Coach Fowler is also on the Twelve Bridges High School teaching staff as a Physical Education teacher.

Nathan Peach
D-line Coach

Known as “The Mayor” Coach Peach was born and raised in Lincoln. His family lineage goes back for generations. Coach Peach is an extremist when it comes to teaching players to utilize leverage, position, quickness and technique to cause havoc along the offensive line. He’s a disciple of the quick 6 technique that has made him a very successful coach for the past 19 years. Along with his very supportive family and wife Robin, Nathan helps to run a successful construction company. In his spare time, he loves to road/mountain bike and run. He has a passion for helping kids grow both mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Jon Scofield
WR Coach


Coach Scofield AKA Coach Sco, has been coaching high school football for 10 years in Lincoln. He served as JV head coach for many years, winning 4 league championships. Coach Sco is currently coaching varsity receivers/pass game. When not coaching football, Coach Sco serves as a Captain with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office and is the President of the Jr Rhinos’s Football and Cheer program. His daughter attends TBHS and participates in sideline cheer and STUNT. Coach Sco is married and lives in Lincoln.

Darryl Jennings
OLB Coach

Coach Jennings brings over a decade of high school coaching experience, along with a strong commitment to youth sports in the community. In addition to his work at the high school level, he has coached various local youth teams and volunteered for three seasons as a coach in the annual Sacramento Guns and Hoses football game. Coach Jennings lives in Lincoln with his two sons, Peyton and Tyson.

 Dave Fear
TE Coach

Coach Dave Fear enters his 8th year coaching high school football and his 3rd year coaching tight ends at the varsity level.   He is part of the Positive Coach Alliance and is actively involved in the community by sitting as vice-chair of the Lincoln Parks and Rec committee for the last 10 years.  Coach Fear loves working with the "F" position, a combination tight end and fullback hybrid, that works with some of the most versatile athletes who can block furiously, run the ball with strength, and reliably catch balls in a wide-open offense run at 12B High.  Coach Fear is also very connected to the high school with 4 daughters who cheer and are part of the championship Rhino stunt team and participate in the marching band at TBHS.  Coach Fear is a big believer in weight lifting and challenges his players to keep up with him in the gym!

Josh Turney
RB/DB Coach
Entering his 13th year of coaching high school football, Josh Turney is currently in his third year coaching at Twelve bridges, where he serves as the running backs and safeties coach at the varsity level. Alongside his coaching duties, he is also in his third year teaching math at the school, demonstrating a strong commitment to both the academic and athletic development of his students. Known for his strategic approach and leadership, Josh focuses on building fundamental skills, fostering teamwork, and instilling a winning mindset in every player he mentors. His combined dedication to education and athletics continues to make a positive impact on the school community

Shea Lemos

Defensive Backs Coach

Coach Lemos has been coaching varsity football for five seasons, specializing in coaching cornerbacks and leading special teams units. A proud member of the 2017 Division 5 Section Championship team with Gilroy High School, he brings a championship mindset to everything he does. Passionate about inspiring young athletes, Coach Lemos is dedicated to developing both the skills and character of his players, helping them grow on and off the field.

Bill Bean Sr "Pops"

Pops has been our equipment manager for over 25 years. He is the man behind the scenes, keeping everything organized and ready to go each week. He builds storage units for all the equipment and is very handy. He is a key role model for the men on the team, he helps build them into men of character.

Coach Holmes joined the Twelve Bridges coaching staff for the 2024-2025 season.  He started his career as a strength and conditioning coach in 2009 at Willamette High School in Eugene, Oregon.  He has been a high school or college offensive line coach and/or strength and conditioning coach ever since.  Coach Holmes and his wife, Rachel, moved to Lincoln with their two kids, Reese and Wesley, in 2002, and absolutely love their new community.  Coach Holmes leads the Twelve Bridges coaching staff in Section Championships with four (three at East Nicolaus High School and one with the Rhinos.  The Yuba City native teaches at Twelve Bridges High School and was a two time PAC-10 champion as an offensive lineman at the University of Oregon.

John Jewett
Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Coach Jewett has successfully run his own private performance training business.  He strives to be more than just a coach and to build meaningful, impactful relationships with each player. Accountability, responsibility, discipline, work ethic and time management are all pillars of his strength program. Coach JJ believes that attributes learned in the weight room will help create not just better football players, but better men and women. Coach JJ will bring his infectious love of lifting weights to the Rhino weightlifting program.

Chris Shoro
Head JV Coach

Coach Shoro has lived in Lincoln for close to 40 years and graduated from Lincoln High School. He loves the city of Lincoln.  Coach Shoro has coached wrestling at the middle school level as well as currently working as a high school wrestling official for over 7 years; He has coached the game of football for 9 years. Coach loves what the game of football does for these young athletes who are transitioning into young adults. He's excited to be a part of  Twelve Bridges High School and looks forward to all the great things that will be taking place. #S.O.U.L. #WINTHEDAY

Coach Handley grew up in Placer County and attended Colfax High School. He moved to Lincoln in 2003 with his young family and started coaching in the Lincoln Jr. Zebra football program in 2010.  Coach Handley's two sons and daughter have been involved in Lincoln sports in the junior program and at Lincoln High School.  In 2017 he joined Coach Scofield coaching the freshman football team and the last 3 years on the Junior Varsity team. Coach Handley is looking forward to helping build the Twelve Bridges football program from the ground up.

Steve Dutra

Coach Dutra is entering his third year of coaching Tweleve Bridges High School Football .  He has resided in Placer County for over 50 years. He brings 15 years of experience playing tackle football which includes: Roseville High School, Sierra College, Sacramento’s Pig Bowl and Guns & Hoses football games. Coach Dutra has previously coached youth baseball and is very humbled to be a part of the Tweleve Bridges Coaching Staff. This season, he is looking forward to leading by example and mentoring his players.  Additionally,  he wants to emphasize how important discipline, leadership, and work ethic are - not only on football field but also in life.

Head Freshman Coach
Entering his 12th year of coaching football, Coach Richard is a dedicated and passionate leader
with a strong track record of success and player development. A 2x State Champion as an
Assistant Coach and 2x League Champion as a Head Coach, he is known for fostering a culture
of excellence through positivity, relationship-building, and relentless commitment. His coaching
philosophy centers on developing young athletes both on and off the field—instilling discipline,
confidence, and a love for the game that lasts a lifetime.

Frank Arredondo

Has lived in Lincoln for 4 years. Born and Raised from the Bay Area (Fremont), Coach Frank brings twenty plus years coaching experience, has been coaching youth and High School Baseball and Football. Coach Frank has been a Frosh head coach, offense and defense coordinator positions. Coach will be coaching defensive backs this year.
